Soldier of Nagorno-Karabakh army suspected of killing his colleague

In Armenia, law enforcers detained a soldier of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army on suspicion of killing regular soldier Karen Karapetyan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that early this morning, soldier Karen Karapetyan has died from a gunshot wound on the territory of a military unit of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about the detention of the suspect by the press service of the Investigating Committee of Armenia. "Law enforcers are investigating the causes of the killing, and an investigation has been launched," reported an official from the Investigating Committee of Armenia.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that rights defenders expressed their concern over the growth of non-combat losses among soldiers of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh in 2018. The rights defenders associated the trend with impunity of commanders and poor training of technical and medical service personnel.
