Resident of Nalchik sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment for plotting terror acts

The North-Caucasian District Military Court sentenced Vladislav Khokhlachev, accused of plotting a terror act in Nalchik, to 18 years of imprisonment.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Vladislav Khokhlachev, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, stated the criminal case had been fabricated.

According to prosecutors, Vladislav Khokhlachev and other members of the "United Vilayat of Kabarda, Balkaria, and Karachay", a terrorist organization banned in Russia in 2011, manufactured nine bombs that they planned to activate near buildings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the Investigating Department, and the Prosecutor's Office in Nalchik on February 23, 2012. The terror act did not take place: half a month before the appointed date, Vladislav Khokhlachev was severely injured in a grenade explosion. After the incident, he uses a wheelchair. He lost an eye, and he speaks with difficulties.
