Protesters set up a tent city in Ingush capital

A tent camp has been set up in front of the building of the "Ingushetia" National TV and Radio Company, where activists are holding their rally. Catering facilities have been also arranged.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from October 4, Magas hosts the protest action against the change in the border with Chechnya. The authorities of the republic sanctioned it until October 17. The action in Magas is a unique example of the struggle of residents for their rights, noted activists from Kabardino-Balkaria.

The participants of the protest action demand the referendum on the border issue and the resignation of the Ingush leader, who signed the agreement with Chechnya. The "Caucasian Knot" reports the chronicle "Protests in Ingushetia: the chronicle of the change in the border with Chechnya".

At the place where the rally takes place, catering facilities have appeared, and national dishes are being prepared there. Some women bring food and share it with policemen on duty around the clock. The protesters themselves clean up the garbage, the "Interfax" reports.

Since the beginning of the rally, the law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia have not registered a single offence.

The protesters have declared they do not intend to stop their action until their demands are met. According to a source from the law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia, at its peak, on October 12, the rally in Magas gathered up to 15,000 people, the "Ekho Moskvy" reports.
