Azerbaijan reports shelling of three villages in the conflict zone

Over the last 24 hours, positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled for 87 times, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 12, Azerbaijan stated about 90 shelling episodes of its positions; and the day before, on September 11, about 84 such episodes. In its turn, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh counted 200 acts of shelling committed by Azerbaijan during the week of September 2-8.

The units of the Armenian Armed Forces, by using large-calibre machine guns, violated the ceasefire regime for 87 times during the last 24 hours, the press service of the Azerbaijani MoD has reported.

According to the MoD, the opponent shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the villages of Gaimagly, Gushchu Airym, Agdam and on the nameless heights. The shelling was delivered from the positions located both in Armenia and "near the occupied villages," says the press release posted today on the MoD's website.
