Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of machine-gun attacks
Within the last 24 hours, units of Armenian Armed Forces, by using heavy machine guns, violated the ceasefire for 86 times, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today.
According to the MoD, on August 30-31, Azeri positions in the villages of Gaimagly, Gushchu Airym, Agbulag and Garalar were shelled.
"The shelling was conducted from the positions stationed near the villages of the Agdam, Khojavend, Fizuli and Djebrail Districts, as well as from the positions stationed on nameless heights in the territory of the Geranboy and Terter Districts," says the statement posted today on the website of the Azarbaijani MoD.
As of 9:20 a.m. Moscow time on August 31, there were no comments on the websites of the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh to the statement of the Azerbaijani MoD.
Let us remind you that on August 25 Nagorno-Karabakh accused Azerbaijan of 200 shelling episodes within a week. On August 28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Nagorno-Karabakh said that the OSCE mission had found no violations of the ceasefire regime on the troops contact line.
