Azerbaijan claims 92 cases of shelling from Armenian side

In the period from August 19 to August 20, the Armenian armed forces 92 times violated the ceasefire regime on the border and in the Karabakh conflict zone, reported the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan.

According to the MoD, the Azerbaijani positions in the villages of Gushchu Airym, Jafarli, Bala Jafarli, and Geyali were shelled from the direction of the Armenian villages and towns of Voskevan, Idjevan, and Krasnoselsk.

Besides, cases of shelling were also registered from the direction of some Karabakh villages, reports the Azerbaijani MoD on its website.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 19, Azerbaijan accused the Armenian side of 87 cases of shelling during a day. Nagorno-Karabakh claimed 170 cases of shelling from Azerbaijan during the week of August 12-18.
