Nagorno-Karabakh blames Azerbaijan for 200 bombardments during a week

From August 5 to 11, Azerbaijani soldiers made more than 1800 shots on the positions of the Defence Army, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Nagorno-Karabakh has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the week from July 29 to August 4, Nagorno-Karabakh fixed 250 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan.

"On August 5-11, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire in the Karabakh conflict zone for about 200 times," the press service of the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh has reported.

According to the MoD, the shelling was conducted only from small arms.

"The units of the Nagorno-Karabakh's Defence Army basically refrained from responding," the MoD has added.

On the daily basis, Azerbaijan declares bombardment of its positions from Armenia and from the territories controlled by the Nagorno-Karabakh's authorities. Only within the past 24 hours, Baku counted 82 such cases.

Let us remind you that on August 7, civilians suffered in the conflict zone, the 24-year-old Elshad Mekhtiev and a 14-year-old boy. They were hospitalized after the explosion of a mine in an Azerbaijani village located near the troops contact line.
