Residents of Chechnya tell about earthquake consequences
The seismic event in the Vedeno District of Chechnya was short but notable, local residents said. No one was hurt, the district administration has reported.
An earthquake with magnitude 3.7 points occurred late in the evening on June 26.
Said-Akhmad, a local resident, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that at night he felt a brief underground shock.
"In the morning, just for safety reasons, I inspected the foundation of the house, because it's quite old. Fortunately, it's all right," the man has added.
The shock was perceptible, but brief, Akhmad, another local resident, has confirmed. According to his story, sometimes it is difficult to understand that an earthquake is happening.
"The feeling of danger comes later, but if shocks don't repeat, you can stay calm. Yesterday, it was such a case. A small shock, and that's all," he said.
The local MfE's branch said that they have no information about any destructions or victims from the earthquake.
