Navalny's supporter released in Rostov-on-Don

Vadim Kobzev, arrested for ten days for participating in the meeting of supporters of Alexei Navalny in Rostov-on-Don, has been released from the special detention centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 24, 2017, a meeting of the initiative group in support of the nomination of Alexei Navalny as a presidential candidate for the upcoming election in Russia was held in Theatrical Square of Rostov-on-Don. Activists collected 800 signatures; and the event ended without detentions. However, already on January 22 the court found Vadim Kobzev guilty of violating the rules of holding a rally.

Vadim Kobzev, a staff member of the local Navalny's electoral office has left the above detention centre today at about 4:20 p.m. Moscow time. He was welcomed by nine of his comrades, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"This time, the custody conditions were generally good; earlier, I had served my four-day arrest in another cell – then, I was given a dirty mattress, a dirty pillow, and no bed linen at all. There was also an unpleasant smell from the toilet. This time, it was much better – they, probably, had an inspection, I was given a clean mattress, bed linen, but this time – no pillow. There were good relations with policemen," Vadim Kobzev told the "Caucasian Knot".
