Georgian law enforcers detain a suspect during special operation

A suspected member of the terrorist organization has been detained in Tbilisi, reported the Georgian State Security Service.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during a special operation conducted in Gabriel Salos Street in the Isani-Samgori District of Tbilisi, persons suspected of involvement in terrorist organizations were blocked in an apartment of a residential building. They opened fire on law enforcers. An explosion occurred in the area of the special operation. Tenants of the residential building were evacuated. A special troop's fighter was injured.

As a result of the special operation, one person has been detained, and a special operation to detain the others is underway, the Georgian State Security Service reported.

"According to the preliminary information, those persons are not Georgian citizens and are members of a terrorist organization," reported Nino Giorgobiani, the deputy chief for the Department of State Security.

According to Nino Giorgobiani, people who were blocked in a residential building were offered to surrender, but they refused.
