Special fighter injured during a special operation in Tbilisi

Starting from tonight, a special operation is being conducted in a residential building in Tbilisi. A fire broke out as a result of shootout and explosions. An injured special troop's fighter was brought to a hospital.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during a special operation conducted in Gabriel Salos Street in the Isani-Samgori District of Tbilisi, persons suspected of involvement in terrorist organizations were blocked in an apartment of a residential building. They opened fire on law enforcers. An explosion occurred in the area of the special operation. Tenants of the residential building were evacuated.

A fire broke out at the place of the special operation. The flames spread on the third and fourth floors of the residential building. Fire brigades and additional ambulance brigades arrived to the building.

As a result of the shootout and explosions in the course of the special operation, a special forces fighter was injured, the "InterPressNews" reports with reference to the State Security Service of Georgia.

Local residents report that only tenants from the third entrance of the house were evacuated, while the rest were not let out of the apartments for security purposes, the "Rustavi 2" TV Channel reports.
