Book on 'Kadyrov's factor' presented in Moscow
The presentation of the book "Kadyrov's Factor. Confrontation" by Djambulat Umarov, the Chechen minister for national policy, external relations, press and information, was held on July 5 inMoscow in the cinema-concert hall of the "President-Hotel".
The book deals with "the problems of the formation of Russian-Chechen relations in the historical perspective," says the message posted on July 5 on the website of the Russian Ministry for North-Caucasian Matters.
In his opening speech, Mr Umarov stressed that the word "confrontation" is used in the title of his book not only because of the "centuries-old confrontation of Chechens and state power in Russia." First of all, according to his idea, the point is about "a joint confrontation to all those who want to destroy Russia."
Adam Delimkhanov, a State Duma MP, has developed Umarov's viewpoint by stating that "the confrontation was never a confrontation of Chechens to peoples of Russia."
"The major aim of confrontation was a split of Russia; however, as long as Russia has the Putin-Kadyrov tandem, it will never happen." If not for Vladimir Putin and Akhmat Kadyrov, Russia would no longer exist," said Delimkhanov.
