Detentions

On June 15, in the Grozny District of the ChechenRepublic, two residents of the village of Starye Atagi, aged 41 and 51 years, were detained by law enforcers on suspicion of illegal manufacture and sale of firearms. In their households, they equipped underground workshops for converting traumatic pistols into combat ones.

Abdurakhmanov said that he was released, but suddenly the conversation was interrupted. Since that moment his phone has been switched off; and his relatives cannot get through to him. His whereabouts are unknown. Employees of the ROVD (district interior division) told them that "he was not in the ROVD, or in the OVD of the city of Kizlyar." One of Abdurakhmanov's relatives said that he had a conditional sentence for a brawl, but he was not on the record for extremism. On June 15, it became known that Rashid Abdurakhmanov is kept at one of the police stations of Dagestan, and he was detained for three days for petty hooliganism. On June 16, Abdurakhmanov's mother and wife came to Makhachkala to the Kirov ROVD. They saw Rashid Abdurakhmanov in the territory of the ROVD, but at 2:00 p.m. Moscow time, when he was to be released, he did not show up; and half an hour later a police officer said that he was not at the ROVD. The current location of Abdurakhmanov is unknown.
