Sochi schoolboy accuses power agents of beating him
Georgy Sveshnikov, a Sochi pupil, has stated that law enforcers took him away from lessons and beat him up, forcing to confess. He has demanded from the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) to find and punish those guilty.
According to Sveshnikov, this happened on April 28, and until May 5, he was in the hospital with head and body traumas.
Georgy Sveshnikov, 18, has explained that policemen demanded from him to confess to the robbery of a store in the Lazarevskoe District, and added that he had committed nothing of the kind. After beating up, the young man "signed all the papers" they gave him, without reading.
According to his version, he still feels bad.
Georgy and Marina Sveshnikov, the pupil's parents, turned to an advocate, who helped them to draw up an application to the ICRF.
The cases of torture at law enforcement bodies are very complex and last for years, Alexander Boichenko, the head of the Sochi branch of the Moscow Bar Association, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
He advised the parents and the young man "to fix everything with medical documents and demand an investigation."
