Buynaksk Assistant Mayor detained

During the inspection of the documents of Yusup Bartykhanov, Assistant to the Mayor of Buynaksk, law enforcers detained him and took him away with them. This was reported by Marat Djankhaev, a deputy of the City Council.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at present, Zacharya Amirov is the Mayor of Buynaksk. His candidacy was supported by the administration of the leader and the government of Dagestan, while the "Party of Veterans of Russia", which gained majority of seats at the City Duma, proposed to appoint Osman Osmanov the Mayor of Buynaksk. Appointment of Zacharya Amirov resulted in a split in the party.

Today, Yusup Bartykhanov, Assistant to Zacharya Amirov, has been detained when he together with his wife and child left his parents' house. On the way, his car was stopped by the police for check of IDs.

"While the policemen were checking his ID and the car documents, they were approached by police UAZ and Gazel vehicles and armed men in masks jumped out of them. They tied Yusup Bartykhanov and forced him into the car," the "Chernovik" (Draft) reports with reference to Marat Djankhaev.

Marat Djankhaev, who also supports Zacharya Amirov, has suggested that the detention may be an attempt to "put pressure" on all members of the political group supporting the incumbent Mayor.
