Khajimba announces his refusal to resign to oppositionists

Raul Khajimba, the President of Abkhazia, has admitted several oppositionists to himself in order to discuss the demands of the people's assembly to him to resign. After the talks, he announced that he would not resign.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today in Sukhumi at reinforced security measures, the "People's Assembly" of the opposition is taking place with a demand of early resignation of Khajimba, and a parallel pro-governmental rally in his support.

The fact that some members of the opposition are in talks with the president was reported by Stella Adleiba, an Abkhaz journalist. It was confirmed by the "Abkhazia-Inform" Agency.

According to Khajimba, he had not discussed any other demands, other than his resignation, with the oppositionists.
