Two residents of Dagestan recognized as accomplices of killed leader of Makhachkala militants

The Karabudakhkent District Court has found local residents Vagabov and Temirkhanov guilty of aiding and abetting Gusein Tagirov, treated by law enforcers as a leader of Makhachkala militants and killed during a special operation. The defendants have been sentenced to imprisonment in a penal colony.

According to the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office, the Court found that proved that Temirkhanov used to help the leader of the "Makhachkala" criminal grouping and stored at his place arms and explosives.

Temirkhanov is sentenced to five years and three months of imprisonment in a common-security penal colony. A. K. Vagabov is sentenced to four years and eight months of imprisonment in a penal colony.

It has been clarified that Vagabov and Temirkhanov lived in the village of Paraul, and, according to the investigators, they supplied the militants with food.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in July, a massive special operation was carried out in the forest near Paraul, during which nine militants and one law enforcer were killed, and three other law enforcers were injured. According to a source from the law enforcement bodies, all members of "the 'Makhachkala' criminal grouping led by Gusein Tagirov" were killed.
