CTO regime lifted in three mountain districts of Dagestan

The decision to lift the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime introduced on June 30 in the territory of the Shamil District and in some areas of the Gunib and Khunzakh Districts was made by the operative headquarters of Dagestan today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since June 30 policemen were searching for members of the armed underground in the territories of the above districts.

"By the decision of bosses of the republic's operative headquarters, at 6:30 p.m. on July 26, the CTO regime was cancelled in the Shamil District and in some areas of the Gunib and Khunzakh Districts, where power agents completed their activities to identify militants and their helpers," the "Interfax" quotes the spokesman of the operative headquarters.
