Third hostage released in Yerevan

As reported by the Armenian National Security Service (NSS), today, after negotiations, the supporters of the opposition, who had seized the building of the police patrol-and-guard service in Yerevan, have released another hostage.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 17, supporters of the oppositional "Constituent Parliament" captured the above building, killing one policeman and wounding three others. Three oppositionists were also wounded. The "Constitutive Parliament" has demanded to release all the country's political prisoners, including their leader Zhirair (Jirair) Sefilyan. As a result of negotiations, NSS employees managed to free two hostages.

According to the NSS of Armenia, after the talks, supporters of the opposition have released another hostage.

"However, the release of hostages is no guarantee of a safe resolution of the situation and do not exclude possible consequences," says the report of the NSS, provided to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
