Sources deny Chechen origin of Osman Vadinov

Osman Vadinov, whose involvement in the terror act in Istanbul is reported by the Turkish media, is a native of Dagestan, not Chechnya, state sources from Turkey and Russia. After the terror act, the Turkish police started to massively detain suspects, including natives from Northern Caucasus. This was reported by Turkish media and sources of the "Caucasian Knot" among the migrants.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 28, a terror act was committed at the Istanbul airport. As a result of three suicide bombings, at least 42 people were killed, and other 239 were injured. Today, the Turkish media have reported that Osman Vadinov was one of the suicide bombers who committed the terror act. Some media called him a native of Chechnya, and some a native of Dagestan. Meanwhile, Akhmed Chataev, a native of Chechnya, was mentioned as an alleged organizer of the terror act.

The criminals were plotting the terror act during 1.5 months, the newspaper "Yeni Safak" reports with reference to sources from the Turkish special services. The detainees kept a list of 30 persons, whose assassination was plotted. The list of potential victims included mostly politicians, journalists, and officials.

The Turkish media called Osman Vadinov a Chechen native; however, he is a native of Dagestan. This was reported by journalist Saslanbek Isaev, living in Istanbul.

The fact that Osman Vadinov never lived in Chechnya was also reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).

The "Dogan" also called one of the suicide bombers a native of Dagestan, the "TASS" reports.

According to Aslan, a native of Kabardino-Balkaria, following the deterioration of the Russian-Turkish relations, the cases of detention of natives of Northern Caucasus in Turkey became more often.
