Sukhumi: car of Abkhazia's MP blown up

A service Toyota car of Almas Djopua, a Deputy of the National Assembly of Abkhazia, was undermined on the Sukhumi embankment; two people were injured.

Those injured were a woman and her child, who happened to walk near the venue. Also, the cars parked close the MP's car were damaged.

The blast occurred at about 6:20 p.m. Moscow time; Almas Djopua was fortunately away from his car. The injured passers-by have shrapnel wounds, the "Interfax" reports with reference to the UVD (Interior Department) of Sukhumi.

Almas Djopua is an opponent to the law considered by the Abkhaz Parliament on sale of real estate to foreign citizens, recalls the web site "Our Abkhazia".
