In Dagestan, a man killed in a shootout

In Dagestan, in the village of Sogratl of the Gunib District, a militant from the federal wanted list rendered resistance to law enforcers and was killed. This was reported by the law enforcement bodies.

The killed militant was identified as Akhmed Shamkhalov, a 25-year-old resident of Makhachkala. He was wanted for the attempt on lives of law enforcers, report sources from the law enforcement bodies. According to them, Akhmed Shamkhalov was a member of the "Gunib" grouping of militants.

"Militant Akhmed Shamkhalov, who was on the federal wanted list, was discovered by law enforcers in the village of Sogratl of the Gunib District of Dagestan. He was killed in a shootout with law enforcers," reports a source as quoted by the "TASS".

According to the source, at the place of the shootout, the law enforcers found a submachine gun and a large amount of ammunition.
