Member of Gagiev's grouping sentenced to 22 years in prison
Robert Bagaev, a resident of North Ossetia, who was a member of Aslan Gagiev's grouping, has been convicted by the Moscow Regional Court for banditry, an attempted murder, killing of several citizens, illegal deprivation of freedom, and illegal arms circulation.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the grouping, created and led by Aslan Gagiev, began its criminal activities in 2004 and comprised over 46 members. The grouping committed about 40 murders in North Ossetia, Moscow and Moscow's vicinities.
"The court has sentenced Robert Bagaev to 22 years of imprisonment in a high-security colony, a fine of 500,000 roubles, and subsequent restriction of freedom for 2 years," the RIA "Novosti" quotes its source from the court today.
As of March 28, 18 figurants of the Gagiev's case are still in custody; nine others are on the international and federal wanted lists'; three members of the grouping, including Aslan Gagiev, were detained in foreign countries; and 16 criminals, including Bagaev, have been sentenced to long prison terms, the RAPSI reports.
