Damaged apartment house is being dismantled in Volgograd

Builders plan to completely dismantle the multi-storey house destroyed by explosion by March 15. The demolition of the house will cost 16,370,000 budget roubles.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 20, 2015, an explosion in an apartment house No. 47 in Kosmonavtov Street in Volgograd destroyed one section from the second to the ninth level killing five people. The house was found an emergency one and subject to demolition.

On February 10, Governor of the Volgograd Region Andrei Bocharov said that a new high-rise building will be built in the place of the ruined one within a year.

As stated today by Alexei Tsukanov, Director General of the general contractor "Peresvet-Yug", the dismantling works are performed by specialists from the company named "Ekosnos".

"On February 17, we plan to bring the structure down to fourth-floor level. It's planed to finish the works by March 15," Alexei Tsukanov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
