Security reinforced in Chechnya
Increased safeguards have been introduced in the Chechen republic following the developments in Ingushetia, a source in the Chechen Interior Ministry told the Caucasian Knot correspondent. Right after the report on rebel attacks in Ingushetia, the decision was made to reinforce posts on the administrative border with Ingushetia. "District police officers in the Sunzha, Urus-Martan, and Achkhoy-Martan districts of Chechnya, bordering on Ingushetia, have been shifted to the barracked state. Extra forces have been brought in there," the source said.
