Court arrests third person involved in case of plotting terror act in Moscow

The Lefortovo Court of Moscow has pronounced the decision to take into custody until December 12 Mokhmad Mezhidov, a native of Grozny, one of the persons, suspected of plotting terror acts in Moscow.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Court of Moscow is to pronounce the pre-trial restriction measures for three persons, detained by FSB agents on October 11 and suspected of plotting a terror act. According to law enforcers, the detainees were trained in Syria in camps of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS, earlier ISIL) recognized in Russia as illegal. Today, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow has pronounced the decision to arrest until December 12 Aslan Baisultanov, a native of Grozny, and Elman Ashaev, a resident of Chechnya.

The investigator asked the Court to take Mokhmad Mezhidov into custody. He has stressed that "in the course of operational and search activities, it has been revealed that Mokhmad Mezhidov is involved in a criminal grouping, suspected of plotting a terror act on the territory of the Russian Federation in order to destabilize the situation in the country and bring an end to the Russia's participation in the military actions in Syria."
