Man suspected of killing football player Gasan Magomedov detained in Dagestan

A man from the native village of Gasan Magomedov, a football player of the "Anji-2" FC, has been detained on suspicion of killing the athlete. This was reported by a source in the law enforcement agencies of Dagestan. According to the source, investigators consider the version that the criminal intended to kill another man.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening of January 3, unidentified persons shelled the car of 20-year-old Gasan Magomedov, and the young man died in hospital.

According to the source in the law enforcement agencies, suspect was driven by hostile feelings and wanted to take revenge on his abuser, with whom he had a conflict some time ago that escalated into a fight. However, the attacker confused the car and shelled the car with the football player.

The source of the "Caucasian Knot" has not mentioned the name of the person to be attacked by the detainee.

The man planned for victim used a similar car, reports the source in the law enforcement agencies as quoted by the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".
