Makhachkala: power agents hold check prior to reopen "Happy Baby" Centre

The Makhachkala babysitting "Happy Child" Centre, which was suspended by law enforcers, was reopened on Thursday. Earlier, power agents made another check of the centre, saying they did not receive information about the permit to reopen the preschool facility.

Sofia Sultanbekova, the head of the centre, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that policemen demanded from her to present a list of parents of the children attending the facility.

According to her story, because of the problems with the police, some parents took their children out of the centre, causing material losses to the institution.

She added that on November 1, when she visited the boss of the ROVD (District Interior Division), she found out that the police needed a list of parents, so that they could "check them by the database for possible links with terrorism."

The pre-school organizations, where children are just supervised and reared, without any educational activities, appeared in Dagestan because of the lack of kindergartens, Ruslan Magomedov, a lawyer of the Dagestani Bar Association, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his version, the policemen's demand to provide information about children's parents is illegal.
