Two persons arrested in Volgograd for propaganda of Nazism
Law enforcement authorities of Volgograd have detained two young men, one of whom stuck a swastika sticker to his T-shirt and went to the Easter Sacred Procession, while the other was disseminating leaflets with Hitler's portrait on the dictator's birthday.
"After the Easter Procession, photos appeared on the Internet showing Father Herman, Metropolitan of Volgograd and Kamyshin, with a young man in a T-shirt depicting Nazi symbols standing behind him," Anton Kornaukhov, the deputy head of the press service of the GUVD of the Volgograd Region, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
In the course of the search and operative actions, a 20-year-old resident of the town of Krasnoslobodsk, Sredneakhtubinsk District, was detained for public demonstration of Nazi symbols. By decision of the Magistrates Court of the Tsentralny District, the young man was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a 15-day arrest.
Besides, another young man was arrested for 10 days: a 19-year-old student of one of vocational schools of Volgograd was disseminating and putting up stickers depicting a girl giving flowers to Hitler. The inscription under the picture read: "Have you congratulated the grandfather on his birthday?" Policemen found such leaflets at the young man's home. Besides, some ammunition of the time of WWII was found there. The student said that he found them in the yard; this fact is being checked.
The regional GUVD said that both young men made use of the services – for making stickers and imprinting the T-shirt – of some printing company, which is now checked. By the law, a legal entity involved in production of such goods faces a fine in the amount of up to one hundred thousand roubles with confiscation of equipment.
