Nogaideli: restoration of Russian-Georgian relations is important for Georgia's economic development

According to Zurab Nogaideli, ex-premier and leader of the oppositional "Movement for Fair Georgia", who visited Moscow on February 8-10 and signed during this visit a cooperation agreement with the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party, believes that restoration of Russian-Georgian relations is crucial for economic development of his country - to get Georgian goods back to the Russian market and give chance to Georgians to earn money and improve their social status.

"Everyone perfectly understands that restoration of relations with Russia has a lot to do with safety, development and unification of Georgia. Therefore, we discuss these issues here," Mr Nogaideli said in his conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on February 10 during his visit to Moscow after signing a cooperation agreement with the "Edinaya Rossiya".

Making comments on his visit to Moscow, he also emphasized that, in spite of assertions of his opponents that he came to Russia only to gain his "political weight", not to seriously bother about restoration of Russian-Georgian relations, the ex-prime-minister said that the "political weight", gained in Russia, will not help him in Georgia.
