Militant Aliev was involved in attempt on Evkurov, special agencies suspect

Workers of special agencies suspect that militant Abdul-Malik Aliev, liquidated on June 24 in a special operation in a Nazran suburb, was the organizer of the attack on President of Ingushetia, committed on June 22, where Evkurov was heavy wounded.

The special operation, which resulted, according to law enforcement bodies, in liquidation of three militants - Abdul-Malik Aliev, Aslan Batygov and Magomed Tiboev, was conducted by special power agents late on June 24 in Ekazhevo village in Nazran.

Aliev and Batygov were searched by special agencies as suspects of murdering Aza Gazgireeva, deputy chair of the Supreme Court of Ingushetia, former vice-premier of the republic Bashir Aushev and of a number of other crimes, including the attack on Ingushetia in summer of 2004.

As reported by "Rossiskaya Gazeta", special agencies do not exclude that the terror act against Yunus-Bek Evkurov with use of a suicide bomber was also organized by Abdul-Malik Aliev. The "Kommersant" adds that law enforcers assume that Aliev could revenge for the murder of his parents - Magomed and Leila Aliev, committed on May 8 in Ordzhonikidzevskaya village.
