Evkurov: suspects of murdering Deputy Chair of Supreme Court of Ingushetia established
Suspects of today morning's murder of Aza Gazgireyeva, Deputy Chair of the Supreme Court of Ingushetia, are established, as reported by President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov.
"We suppose who could do it; today and tomorrow we'll undertake tough targeted actions," said Mr Evkurov and added that there are two versions of the crime.
"The first version assumes that the murder has to do with Ms Gazgireyeva's participation among three judges to consider the criminal case of 12 detainees suspected of committing armed attack in 2004 on law enforcement bodies of the republic. The second version is related to Gazgireyeva's cancellation of the acquittal verdict of a district court in relation to a drug dealer," said the President.
He has emphasized that "murder of a woman - Aza Gazgireyeva - Deputy Chair of the Republic's Supreme Court, is another evidence that bandits have nothing sacred remaining in their souls." He has reminded that after shelling the minivan and wounding Gazgireyeva, the gunman came up and made a shot in her head, as the ITAR-TASS reports.
Yunus-Bek Evkurov told about the versions of Gazgireyeva's assassination at the meeting on the measures for fighting extremism and terrorism. Kaloy Akhilgov, press secretary of the President of Ingushetia, said to "Gazeta.Ru" that relatives of the 12 detainees on the attack case of 2004 were also present at today's meeting. He has explained that even if this murder has to do with the "Case of Twelve", nobody assumes any involvement of relatives in the crime yet.
The "Ingushetia.Org" writes that the Gaerbek-Hadji Street, where the murder was committed, is in the centre of Nazran. Aza Gazgireyeva could get some 100 meters away from her home. The driver is in hospital in a grave condition. Four more persons have suffered - they were passing by at that moment in a "Niva" car.
None of Aza's colleagues and friends believes that the incident could be occasional. "A year ago, in April, Gazgireyeva's predecessor - Khasan Yandiev - was killed; the case is still unopened," says Judge of the Supreme Court Marina Bashanova, Aza's colleague."
"Aza had courage to take complex cases connected with terrorism; even the cases rejected by many other judges. In fact, we remain unprotected, we've no security, and every day we are under killer's sight," says Ali Ozdoev, chairman of the Nazran district court.
""Memorial": clannish traditions are threats to Dagestan," "Death case of Evloev, owner of "Ingushetia.Ru", to be considered by another judge," "Religious figure shot dead in Ingushetia."
