South Ossetia accuses Georgians of kidnapping three Ossetians

On Saturday, October 18, the Ministry of Defence of South Ossetia stated that on October 17 Georgians kidnapped three persons from the South-Ossetian village of Artsev.

Experts of the Republic's Ministry of Defence assert that Georgian subversive and terrorist groups continue to operate in the safety zone.

"The surnames of the Ossetians kidnapped on October 17 and the circumstances of the incident are now clarified," the Radio "Mayak" (Beacon) quotes the press service of South-Ossetian Ministry of Defence.

In total, since October 8, after withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers out of the safety zone, 11 persons were kidnapped in South Ossetia, as the "Interfax" reports with reference to David Sanakoev, Ombudsman at President of South Ossetia.
