Website "Ingushetia.Ru" closed, website "Ingushetia.Org" started

On Thursday, September 25, the regional centre for domain registration closed, on decision of the court, the website "Ingushetia.Ru", which belonged to Ingush oppositionist Magomed Evloev, who was murdered on August 31, but a similar website named "Ingushetia.Org" has appeared on the Internet.

"On September 25, 2008, a letter arrived from the regional centre for domain registration to the editorial office of 'Ingushetia.Ru' stating that delegation from the Ingushetiya.Ru domain has been stopped on the basis of the decision of the Kuntsevo District Court of June 6, 2008," said advocate Musa Pliev, who represented the interests of the website at court. The RIA "Novosti" reports that Mr Pliev made reference to the new website - "Ingushetia.Org".

In the opinion of the editorial office of "Ingushetia.Ru", the regional centre for domain registration acted illegally, when stopping the website, and broke the law and the contract concluded with the owner of the domain name Magomed Evloev.

According to the advocate, the decision of the Kuntsevo Court has not obliged the regional centre for domain registration to cancel delegation from the domain name Ingushetiya.Ru, since "the centre was not involved in the case, and the decision did not impose any duty or responsibility on the centre."

The editorial board of the website has made decision to switch over to a new domain name 'Ingushetia.Org', which is precisely reproducing the website "Ingushetia.Ru". The staff of the editorial board, the editorial policy of the website and its other parameters remain unchanged. Rosa Malsagova was appointed the editor-in-chief of the website.

Now, Rosa Malsagova is in Paris together with her children and continues to manage the "Ingushetia.Ru" remotely. Several criminal cases have been initiated on the facts of threats to her.
