Barack Obama promises "tough diplomacy" to influence Russia

Senator Barack Obama, the democratic candidate for US presidency, has stated that in case of his victory at presidential elections he will use "tough and direct diplomacy" to constrain "Russia's aggression."

Earlier, Russian Premier Vladimir Putin supposed in his interview to American CNN that the conflict in Georgia could have been provoked by particular political forces in the USA, who aimed to create advantages to one of the presidential candidates. "If my guesses prove to be true, then a suspicion may arise that someone in the USA had specifically created this conflict with the aim to aggravate the situation and to create advantages for one of the presidential candidates in the competitive fight in the USA," said the Prime Minister.

This version is such: the war in South Ossetia was part of the plot of vice-president Dick Cheney with the aim not to admit election of Barack Obama as the president of the United States.

"I'll restore our armed forces to be prepared to future conflicts, but I'll renew tough and direct diplomacy, which will enable to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and restrain Russian aggression," Barack Obama declared in the meantime in his program speech in Denver (Colorado) at the Democratic Convention.
