Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia: only several participants of disorders are still behind bars

Sources in the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia refute the information that dozens of people detained on January 26 during mass disorders in Nazran are still under arrest.

We remind you that the information about dozens of detainees was disseminated by the independent Internet portal "Ingushetia.Ru"; and according to this source, as of February 6, the Temporary Isolation Facility (TIF) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia kept dozens of local residents who were detained during the rally for the term of 10 days.

"However, today 10 days from the moment of their detention have expired, but nobody of them has been released," writes the edition.

In their turn, the prosecutors insist that this information about dozens of arrested persons has nothing to do with reality. According to their data, the TIF of the Ingushetian MIA is still keeping several local residents detained by law enforcement bodies on suspicion of taking part in mass disorders in Nazran. The exact number of them is still unknown.

As of today, the Nazran Office of the HRC "Memorial" has not received any applications from the relatives of the persons who were detained during dispersal of the rally in Nazran, or from the victims themselves.
