Ella Kesaeva: no more grounds to postpone the trial on "Voice of Beslan"

Ella Kesaeva, co-chair of the "Voice of Beslan" Organization, has stated that all the necessary documents have been submitted to the Court of Nazran (Ingushetia) for restart of the trial on charges of extremism.

Today, the Court of the city of Nazran (Ingushetia) has postponed its first session on the case about the materials of the "Voice of Beslan" Organization, published in its website, until Tuesday, January 15, because the court has not received the petitions on holding an independent expert's examination of the text.

"Yesterday we sent two petitions by express mail and a telegram, but the court received nothing; therefore, today we've sent a petition asking to hold an examination by fax. In order to avoid any misunderstanding, that nothing has arrived again, we called back the Nazran Court and made sure that they've received our fax message. Now they have no grounds to postpone the session. Once they've accepted the case, let them consider it, but without our participation," co-chair of the Committee Ella Kesaeva said in her interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Meanwhile, the "Voice of Beslan" has received no answer to the complaint against the actions of M. Kh. Aushev, Acting Public Prosecutor of Ingushetia, from Deputy General Public Prosecutor for the SFD Ivan Sydoruk; therefore, the members of the organization have decided to call him up tomorrow.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that the members of the NGO "Voice of Beslan" have decided not to go to the trial to Nazran (Ingushetia) on the case of recognizing the information materials of their organization to be extremist ones.

The members of the Committee find the statement of the Acting Public Prosecutor of Ingushetia to be illegal, and on January 13 sent a telegram to the Nazran Court stating that they would not take part in the trial without holding an independent expert's examination of the statement.
