Kabardino-Balkaria: court wants to verify the legality of evidences of those accused of attack on Nalchik

The Supreme Court of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has satisfied, during its preliminary hearings on the criminal case about the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005, the petition on appointing a public prosecutor's examination on the fact of application to defendants of unlawful methods of investigation.

It has become known from advocate Tatiana Psomiadi that the trial was postponed to February 5. The examination was entrusted to the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation for the KBR.

We remind you that the "Caucasian Knot" reported a theoretical possibility of such examination yesterday, on January 11.

We remind you also that on November 15, 2007, at the regular court session, the defendants lodged a petition to exclude evidences from the case, which had been obtained through violation of the criminal-remedial code and through use of violence.
