Woman-civilian killed in Dagestan during special operation

Today at about 6:40 p.m., a special operation was undertaken in Khasavyurt (Dagestan) with the aim to detain and liquidate members of Askhab Bidaev's armed formation. One militiaman and a civilian woman were killed in the skirmish.

The IA REGNUM reports with reference to the Dagestan Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) that the detention attempt failed.

We remind you that a similar operation has been conducted today by Dagestan MIA's subdivisions in the village of Novy Sulak, the Kizilyurt District. The officials of the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan assume that Rappani Khalilov could be killed in one of the houses of the village.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that during storming the second house, two SOBR (Direct Action Special Detachment) fighters were wounded.

It was reported earlier in "Caucasian Knot" information that Rappani Khalilov was a native of Dagestan, one of the most influential field commanders of Chechen separatists. In particular, he is thought to be the organizer of the terror act in Kaspijsk, committed on May 9, 2002.
