Criminal case initiated on shelling three women in Chechnya
The employees of the Military Office of Public Prosecutor are investigating into the incident in the Shatoi District of Chechnya, where on March 24 the militaries of the federal troops swept three peaceful women; one of them was shot dead.
"In the afternoon of March 24, a scout group of the military commandant's office of the Shatoi District headed by Colonel Korgun was holding a reconnaissance-search mission in the vicinity of Urdyukhoi village. The scouts took three local women who were gathering ramson for the militants and swept with automatic firearms. The militaries assert that they were confident that confronted militants, since the women were in military-fashion trousers and jackets," the source has reported.
The Chechen ombudsman Nurdi Nukhazhiev has already stated that the militaries had shot the women willingly.
