Defendants on the case of dispersal of the picket in Politkovskaya's memory in Ingushetia fail to arrear at court

The start of proceedings of the case on dispersal of Anna Politkovskaya's memorial picket, which had been appointed for 4 p.m. yesterday, December 15, at the Nazran District Court of the Republic of Ingushetia, did not come about again. Magomed Mutsolgov, claimant's representative and chairman of the "Mashr" Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization (ANO), informed the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" about the fact.

Same as on the previous occasion, on December 7, out of three defendants, only the lawyer of the administration of the city of Nazran came to the court, while no representatives of the city militia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia have ever appeared. Therefore, the court had to postpone the starting day of the consideration of the case by another week. The new appointment for the proceedings to start is 4 p.m. on December 21.

The claimant - the "Mashr" Association of Relatives of Missing People - demands to recognize the actions of the mayoralty of Nazran, which had forbidden the picket in memory of Anna Politkovskaya on October 16 this year, and of the Department of Interior of Nazran and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia who had dispersed the action with application of violence, to be illegal.
