In Ingushetia, the court intends to consider legality of dispersing the picket in memory of Anna Politkovskaya
At 4:00 p.m. on December 7, the Nazran District Court of the Republic of Ingushetia will start to consider the application of the "Mashr" Association of Relatives of Missing Persons on recognition to be illegal of the actions of the Mayor's Office of the city of Nazran, who had banned a picket in memory of Anna Politkovskaya on October 16 this year, and of the Nazran Interior Department and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, who violently dispersed the action. Magomed Mutsolgov, chairman of the "Mashr" Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization (NCO), told about it to the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot."
We remind you that on October 16 this year, militiamen and "people in civilian clothes" violently dispersed a picket in memory of Anna Politkovskaya in Bazorkin Avenue in the centre of Nazran. Eight persons were detained: five employees of the HRC "Memorial," Magomed Mutsolgov, organizer of the action, Ruslan Maisigov, correspondent of the ITAR-TASS, and two occasional passers-by.
