Karelian leader fires high-rank state servants for Kondopoga
After dissolving the Petrozavodsk City Council, head of Karelia Sergey Katanandov dismissed a number of high-ranked bureaucrats of the Republic's government. Alexander Smirnov, Mr. Katanandov's press secretary explained that "the tough personnel decisions were made by Karelian leader during his interim summing up the measures intended tom overcome the crisis situation in Kondopoga."
According to Mr. Smirnov, the main reasons for these resolute Katanandov's steps were "inefficient and fruitless actions of certain Republic's state servants," the "Interfax" reports.
Apart from dismissals, several members of the Karelian government were reprimanded and warned on their mismatch with the positions they occupy. Mr. Katanandov promised that "further conclusions on the work and responsibility of the officials in charge on the work in Kondopoga will be made later," Mr. Smirnov added.
We remind you that the cause of disorders in the town of Kondopoga, Republic of Karelia, was a mass fight of local residents with Caucasian natives.
