Special operation involving casualties conducted in Ingushetia

In the course of a special operation conducted in Nazran, Ingushetia, two suspected members of illegal armed units have been killed.

The special operation was aimed at detaining suspected militants. They stayed at the "Photo Kodak" center, started an armed resistance and were killed by a return fire, report the republic's law enforcement agencies. The bodies have been identified. They were Ruslan and Murad Uzhakhovs, Ingushetia residents, reports ITAR-TASS.

According to the data available to the "Caucasian Knot", during 2008, at least 61 terrorist acts were committed in Ingushetia, 31 such acts prevented, at least 7 hiding places with arms and ammunition were found, at least 15 special operations were conducted in the course of which 46 suspected militants were killed and more than 30 arrested.
