Akhilgov: Tochiev's resignation is linked with his initiative to struggle against corruption in Ingushetia

Ibragim Tochiev, ex-head of the administration of the President of Ingushetia, had forced heads of district administrations to write own-will dismissal applications with an open date. This was reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Kaloy Akhilgov, new press secretary of the President of Ingushetia. Thus, he has refuted the earlier information about possible reasons of Tochiev's resignation.

We remind you that the source of the "Kommersant" newspaper said that the reason of Ibragim Tochiev's dismissal, after he had worked as the administration head for four months, was that he had refused to support the initiative of President Yunus-Bek Evkurov to demand from all the materially accountable officials to submit their own-will resignation applications with an open date, to make dismissal of dishonest officials easier.

"It was Ibragim Tochiev, who sent, about two weeks ago, to all district administrations models of own-will dismissal applications to be filled in by the officials and sent back," explained Kaloy Akhilgov and added that this was Tochiev's idea of struggling with corruption.

According to Mr Akhilgov, "President was not informed about this Tochiev's initiative." "The Republic's leader has learned about these actions from third parties," said the press secretary. "He found this policy as unacceptable and dismissed Tochiev."

"In general, I had no chance to talk to the President about it yet," said Kaloy Akhilgov. "However, so far, we have opposite information."
