Murat Kardanov accused of attack on Nalchik in October 2005

Murat Kardanov, a resident of Zolukokoazhe village, who was arrested on December 30, 2008, and before for three years was registered among the casualties, has been charged with participation in the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt about it from well-informed sources.

Murat Kardanov is accused under the same articles, as the other participants of the accusation: terrorism, participation in a gang and criminal community, murders, encroachment on life of law enforcers, etc.

Under the version of the inquiry, in December 2004, Valery Tleuzhev, a resident of Zalukokoazhe, who acted on instruction of Anzor Astemirov, offered Murat Kardanov and 15 other residents of the Zolskiy District to join "the criminal community created in the territory of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR)." They agreed, and in spring of 2005 "swore fealty and obedience to commanders of the criminal community."

There is also data that five defendants, figuring in the case about the events on October 13, recognized him by a photo, having stated that on that night he was in the apartment in Kirova Street, where he received an RPG-26 grenade launcher and a Makarov pistol, and at about 9 a.m. on October 13 departed, in a black "Zhiguli-9" car, together with six participants of the group, towards the building of KBR's MIA.

The indictment runs that during 10 minutes the attackers shelled the building of the power agency and threw grenades; then, they tried to escape in a "Zhiguli-9" car in the direction of the Lenina Avenue. However, in the crossing of Lenina and Kulieva Streets, the car got into a road accident and was executed by special troops.

Later, Murat Kardanov was registered as a casualty.

We remind you that Murat Kardanov's mother keeps asserting that her son could not be a participant of the attack on Nalchik, as he was and is very sick. All this time he hid at home.
