Suspects of attempt on President of Chechnya refuse to plead guilty

The three suspects of preparing an attempt on President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov have failed to admit their guilt.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that Chechen natives Umar Batukaev, Ruslan Musaev and Lors Khamiev, who had been initially accused of preparing a terror act near "Profsoyuznaya" Metro Station in Moscow, later, in the course of investigation became suspects of preparing an attempt on Ramzan Kadyrov.

Murad Musaev, advocate of one of the defendants in the case, has told the "Interfax" that today the Moscow City Court has started considering the case on its merits with participation of a jury, and the public prosecutor has announced the bill of particulars.

"The defendants have refused to admit their guilt," said the lawyer.

Meanwhile, the RIA "Novosti" reports that the files of the criminal case contain Mr Kadyrov's statement running that he never saw the defendants, has no claims against them, and had not suffered, either physically or morally, from their actions.
