Residents of North Ossetia collect things for South Ossetian refugees

Today, the Ministry for Matters of Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of North Ossetia has started to collect things for refugees from South Ossetia. People are mostly bringing children's clothes.

Those who had to evacuate from the conflict zone could hardly take their documents with them, but no spare clothes.

Wounded people continue to arrive in small groups to the Republic's and district hospitals of North Ossetia. Many of them are militaries; therefore, they are immediately sent to the North-Caucasian Military Hospital. This hospital was visited today by Archbishop of Stavropol and Vladikavkaz Theophan. He talked to the victims and rendered small material aids to them.

The blood transfusion station of North Ossetia works in the round-the-clock regime, as during the latest 24 hours only 70 patients in need of blood transfusion have arrived from South Ossetia to Vladikavkaz.

Fourteen persons were brought to district hospitals of North Ossetia located in the cities of Alagir and Ardon, five militaries among them. Doctors say that all of them have gunshot wounds.

A mobile hospital has been deployed near Alagir ready to help those who evacuate or get injured in the conflict zone.
