OSCE plans to hold regular monitoring on Armenian-Azerbaijan border

The OSCE is planning to hold a regular monitoring on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia on August 28. This was reported by a source in the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

Remember that the last monitoring was foiled by shooting on August 19. Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk alleged the next day after the incident that at that moment it had been impossible to make out from which side and from what definite type of gun the shots had been made. Nonetheless, Azerbaijan sources were quick to accuse the Armenian party of the incident referring to Kasprzyk.

A cease-fire regime in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabah conflict was set in May of 1994. The OSCE organize regular monitorings on the front line in order to get information whether the parties of the conflict comply with the conditions of the truce.
