Picket against eviction from Tuapse hostel held in Krasnodar

In Krasnodar, residents of the hostel located in Tuapse held a protest action against their eviction. Ten persons went out to the "Aurora" movie theatre with posters in their hands. They plan to hold a range of pickets in the Kuban capital.

"We demand to stop judicial arbitrariness against us and our children," Liudmila Borodkina, a participant of the picket, has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. The picketers held posters "On the Family Day, all the best should go to other guys" and "Concentration camp prisoner should have worthy life conditions" (there was a former prisoner among the protesting tenants).

On June 2 and 3, the hostel tenants held pickets in Tuapse, however, with no result.

The tenants of the hostel try to appeal against the right of the administration of the Kuban State Technological University to move them out in court. However, Judge Zheldakova from the Tuapse City Court has repeatedly refused to accept their claims.

We remind you that judgements were awarded earlier to evict four families out of the hostel. On March 14, court marshals tried to oust refugees from Abkhazia - the Khanikeryan family. However, having met organized resistance of the hostel tenants, the court marshals did not dear to break the doors.

On March 17, some ten court marshals arrived to Anatoly Malyshev aiming to evict him with his wife and daughter out. As a gesture of protest, Mr Malyshev poured gasoline on himself and tried to self-burn, but the marshals interfered. Anatoly was brought to the cardiology ward of the Tuapse city hospital with diagnosis "blood-stroke".
